Marlies Boterman is a London based architectural practice founded in 2012. Marlies is a Dutch architect and furniture maker, living and working in London and Amsterdam. In the past 15 years she has been working with established architectural practices like OMA (Rem Koolhaas), Inside Outside and SevilPeach. Since 2012 she has realized projects, concerning re-use / waste, transformation and with special attention for environmentally friendly materials.
She has been invited to several events related to Architecture and Craftsmanship – including at the Venice Biennale in 2014 where she gave a lecture about this theme and showed some of her work. In 2015 she was asked to exhibit her self-made furniture pieces in Jakarta during the Kota Tua Creative Festival.
She has lectured internationally about her work and taught at several architecture schools, including the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture.
